International conference "Water" in Scuol (CH)

Switzerland holds the presidency of the EU-Strategy for the Alpine Region (EUSALP) in 2023. The presidency is held jointly by the cantons, coordinated by the CdC, and the Confederation.

The Swiss Presidency of the EUSALP, invites to the international conference "Water" on Friday, 16 June 2023 in Scuol. The thematic conference will take place from 9.00 to 13.00.

The Alpine region is particularly affected by climate change and thus also the Alpine water cycle. The Alpine state, their regions and municipalities are facing the great challenge of ensuring water supply for both nature and people. The EUSALP conference in Scuol will show regional examples of how this challenge can be dealt with in the Alpine region. Based on scientific findings and project examples from the fields of water energy, biodiversity and tourism, the conference will deal, among other things, with the political framework conditions for successful water management.
