Tales of Mountain Biodiversity

The Mountain Partnership in collaboration with the Global Mountain Biodiversity Assessment is embarking on a journey across the world's mountains based on stories about their biodiversity. They invite you to share your own tale in word or art form.

"Mountain biodiversity" is the theme of this year's International Mountain Day on 11 December.

With a drawing, a painting or in writing (500 words or less), the Mountain Partnership in collaboration with the Global Mountain Biodiversity Assessment invite you to tell how biodiversity matters in the mountains where you live or work and to share your fascination, knowledge, memories, fears or hopes for these mountains and their nature. Please also refer to the role of biodiversity in the mountain economy and for the livelihoods of your community or communities that you know.

Mountain biodiversity matters across generations and they welcome any creation, whether it be a small child’s drawing or an elder’s story. Submission deadline: 1 May 2020. More
